I've been busy...
with nothing in particular. I admit everytime I do want to post something... my mind goes blank. I guess I'm having a mental block.. Oh! well.. cést la vie..
I guess I've been catching up on my reading.. I'm in the middle of reading several books and i'm almost finish.. I'm currently reading 'Empress Orchid' by Anchee Min, 'The Measure of a Man' by Sidney Poittier and one of my all time favourites... 'The Glass Palace' by Amitav Ghosh.
Different stories.. different times.. so I dont get bored with just reading one book.. heheh.. I seriously recommend anyone who hasn't read 'The Glass Palace'. Its as if you're there yourself seeing and feeling what is written.. Its about Rajkumar and the ups and downs of his life and how he tries to handle everything that comes his way, spreading across Burma, Malaya and India..
I cant remember how many times the book has been in and out of the toilet.. hahahhaa... so if ure iffy about the whole toilet thing.. get yourself one and dont borrow mine! hahahhaa...
With 'Empress Orchid', its also a good read. Its a start of series of books on China's last empress and I love to read books from that era.. especially China in that period. Basically, I'm into books that are history-based and so I get to learn something from that era and about the country... love it! Read 'The Last Empress' after reading this...
Lastly.. Im reading Sidney Poittier's spiritual autobiography, 'The Measure of a Man'.. I like the way he describes things and from what i've read so far.. it makes you appreciate what you have and just be grateful. Ill tell you more after I've finished with it..
I'm currently waiting for my copy of 'Remember Me' by Sophie Kinsella.. The author famous the 'Shopaholic' series of books.. so i'm trying to patiently wait for Best Eastern to call me.. hehehhe..
Its late.. ill try to update more often.. InshaAllah..
